If you must know

'If you must know' is a project developed with the aid of an DYCP Arts Council grant received at the beginning of 2020. The project explores themes of isolation and alienation in the Romanian and Roma migrant communities of Birmingham UK, through photography and the intersection of photography and textile installations. The name of the project is a reference to a popular joke in the community alluding to a not so polite answer (albeit more honest) to the common curtesy and intentionally superficial question 'How you do'?'.
